EG1   Death Document/Condolence Document.  Professionally mounted in an 8" X 10"  gold and black metal frame with the glass.  The document is made out for Alwin Fenger. and describes that he was shot through the heart at the battle of Quibermeanil on June 7. 1940 just before his 30th birthday.  $65   Pictures:    A       B         C

EG2    Regimental Stein brought back by Bill Richardson (see EG4)  Civilian stein with some sage advise about keeping the wolf out of your home.  The white glass body of the stein has a nude Lithopane.  Perfect condition.  maker marked on the bottom with a Crown B.  Priced right at $50    Pictures:    A        B        C                      F

EG3    Political Belt Buckle.  Introduced in 1939 M 4/24  (Freidrick Landen) and produced by the firm of Ludenscheid.  Gold high lights are still present on the oak leaf wreaths and Swastika.  Most of these have wear of some sort, but the gold finish on this one is about as good as it can get.  $200  Pictures:    A        B       C

EG4    Enamel on silver Bracelet,  7.25 inches long, 13 insignia including the Nazi Flag, and an anchor with shield that has the letters:  H   A   P  A  C  .  The insignia appear to be signal flags and the bracelet belonged to a lady married/going with a Sailor for the Third Reich.  CONSIGNRH   $75       Pictures:    A        B

EG5  1944 training manual for PANZERGRENADIERE.  196 pages of instruction on setting up tank movements, traps, hammer/anvil movements, and evasive techniques.   The only one like this that I have seen.  $40  Pictures:     A         B         C          D

EG6    RAD Belt Buckle with leather tab.  The date on the tab in 1937, but all that I can make out of the rest is RED--SIL.    The body is heavy cast aluminum with an integral catch for the hook.  The green paint is present on the back of the buckle but only about 25% on the face.  The marking on the back is in bas relief and is olo in a double diamond and 37 in the RZM marking.  There is some wear to the shovel and on the swastika,  but these were meant for use in the field and not dress.  $125    Pictures:   A       B       C       D

EG7     Belt loops for 'Y' straps or anything that was suspended from the belt of the German soldier.  I have three, one marked 1940 and another marked G. Schau Guttenburg A/B.  Each has their own unique appearance but most of the time, they won't show much while on a mannequin or re-enactor's uniform.  All three go for the price of $60.   Pictures:   A       B

EG8       Luftwaffe Belt and Buckle.  The leather tab on the buckle is dated 1939 and has he regimental marking of L. B. A. (Luftwaffen BeckLeidungs AMT, Air Force clothing depot)    The type two Luft buckle has the up-swept tail and was used after 1939.  The heavy pebbled aluminum casting was common for dress parade but no gray paint. Later versions had the paint that was more useful for camouflage purposes.  Hallmarked F. R.   39    The belt is later as they had the rough side of the leather out and the top grain against the body.  The hook has the gray paint present.  This one has been shortened by the military clothing depot: you can see the holes left by the original  stitching.  Most of the original belts show a marked weight  loss by the owners.   $145    Pictures:    A       B       D       E       F

EG9      SOLD

EG10    RAD Belt Buckle.  Two piece construction, but light weight so when the owner practiced "hit the dirt", the center piece was dented.  Still, it is an unusual variation and no paint is found in the pebbled finish and on the underside of the buckle.  There are no hall marks as is usual for this type of construction from just before the war.  $95  Pictures:   A       B

EG11   Federal Republic NCO Buckle with leather tab.  Excellent condition and very difficult to find.  $90    Pictures:    A        B

EG12    Dagger Hanger  Suspension.   Brown Leather 'Tear Drop' with steel 'D' ring.  Orange stitching around the body.  Excellent condition and difficult to find! The snap on the end of the hangers would clip on the 'D' ring.   $75    Pictures:    A        B

EG13    Regimental Stein, reproduction from the Eighties. Triangle hallmark with B  M  F  in the middle.  White glass with Cavalry motif.  69th Cavalry Regiment.  Horse and rider on top of lid.    $90    Pictures:         B

EG14    Regimental Stein, Officer's grade all in pewter.  The only officer's stein I have seen.  Engraved around the rim of the lid is the following inscription:  Offitz. Corp's S/I UL Rgt. S/l Kameraden i Abscheid.  Ullans steins are always in demand.  The lid panel is of the Altenburg castle in Bamberg.  Excellent condition.  CONSIGNEJ $750  Pictures:    A        B               D        E

EG15    Shell Art: WWI Match safe made from brass shotgun shells, one 10 Ga. and one 12 ga.  matches included. $20    Pictures:    A        B

EG16     Luftwaffe Pebbled Belt Buckle.  Type 2 Luftwaffe buckle with the leather tab.  The maker is B. Aurich, Dresden 1939 and has the L.B.A for the Luftwaffe clothing Depot.  This one shows traces of the gray paint on the face but not on the back of the buckle.  It was probably painted just after the war broke out and the owner worked the rest of the war in the Clothing Depot.  Cast aluminum with the Assman 'A' hallmark and  '39'.  $115 because of the great condition.  Pictures:   A        B        C        D       PENDING

EG17    Dagger Hanger Suspension.   Dark brown ersatz pebbled 'Tear Drop' with steel 'D' ring.  Late hanger in excellent condition.  The snap on the end of the dagger hanger would clip on the D ring, either through the slot at the top of the lower left pocket.  The loop at the top would be suspended from the waist belt.  Unusual!    $75     Pictures:           B

EG18     "Sanitized" Early Police Buckle.  The stamping on the older pieces was made with heavy aluminum blanks, so this one was thick enough to have the swastika removed and still leave a center piece without holes from the sanding.  The Gott Mit Uns and the wreath is plain and without damage.  $25  Pictures:    A       B          C

EG19    Regimental Stein, Kgl. Sachs. 15. Inft. Rgt. Nr. 181 Chemnik, 2. Comp.  1900-02.  Named to Tambour Ernst Heinz.  White glass body with a lithopane of a soldier bidding adieu to a fair lady on the balcony.  no chips, cracks, nor damage to the stein, great colors and detail to the artwork.  CONSIGNEJ $575   Pictures:    A              C        D        E        F

EG20    Army Belt, Buckle, and 'D' rings.   Perfect for someone who is assembling a mannequin. The buckle is early cast aluminum with integral  hook and pebbled background with the leather tab.  There is a hall mark on the tab That says Fransfeld & Co. 1937  The inside of the buckle is painted dark green and the same green can be seen around the wreath and eagle.  The belt is size 92 and has the rough side out and top grain inside.  The outside is dyed black but the inside is still the leather color, there is a stamp: M. R. next to the hook part of the belt.  Stitching is still white.  'D' ring loops are early with the rounded shape rather than the later stamped square pattern.  A complete set.  $200   Pictures:  A        B        C        D       E        F       G

EG23     Cross Strap for The Army officer's Belt.  Used to help support the weight of a pistol.  The belt would slip through the leather loop and the the snap would clip onto a D ring at the end of a leather loop around the belt.   Not a common item!  Has been worn and the brass stud has been fitted in the other two holes.  Good plus condition.   $70   Picture:    A

EG24    WWI Butcher Bayonet (no scabbard)  The hall mark on the ricasso is Amberg with a crown, the other side is markedF.Herder A.S  Solingen (with crossed keys as the hall mark)  The date on the back of the blade is 15 (1915 under a crown)  The blade has been lightly sharpened and is free from nicks or gouges the only discoloration on the ricasso next to the cross guard is  very light.  Wood grip panels are in good shape.   Two Proof marks are on the 'bird head pommel: Crown over either a K or an R.  $95   Pictures:    A       B       C       D       E       F       G       I        J        K

EG25     K98 'Tobacco tin', RG34 cleaning kit.   Late war production.    The manufacture's code is AB 44 and the Waffen amt is WaA 313 under the eagle and swastika.  The construction of the oiler has changed from steel  to Bakelite and the cleaning chain has become lighter with smaller aluminum 'beads'.  The body of the kit has stampings to support the smaller interior section rather  than a more skilled and time consuming welding process.  The brushes remain the same but the paint has been changed from a heavier coat on zinc plate. Steps have been taken to make the hinges more rapidly thus more crude.  The tool used to clean the receiver and depress the magazine plate is still included.  this one is stamped HAWIG.  Not too many of these around any more.  $65  Pictures:        B       C       D       E       F       G

EJ4    Menko:   Menko - encyclopedia article about Menko.  a Japanese card game played by two or more players. It is also the name of the type of cards used to play this game. Each player uses Menko cards made from thick paper or cardboard, with one or both side printed with images from anime, manga, etc. A player's card is placed on the hardwood or concrete floor and the other player throws down his card, trying to flip the other player's card with a gust of wind or by striking his card against the other card. If he succeeds, he takes both cards. The player who takes all the cards, or the one with the most cards at the game's end, wins the game.
Menko has been popular from the Edo period. Its quick and simple rules has made it popular among children of all age groups. Because technique is just as important as power in this game, smaller kids have a fair chance of winning.

This game was sent to me by a good friend who ran across the set of cards and this link to the instructions.  If you are interested, the cost is $75  Pictures:          B
