HI9    ICON from the late 1700's.   Hammered brass over painted wood.  This is not one of the cheap mass produced pieces from Russia in the last fifteen years.  This one originated in the area between Spain and France from one of the monasteries there. Sorry, but the silver crown over the head is missing.  10.5" X 8.6"   Came to America from a Swiss couple who immigrated in 1948.  If you need further pictures, just ask. $1350    Pictures:       B                      F       G       H

SR73    Group of three razors and one set of scales. One set of cow horn scales, hump backed blade, one with white plastic scales, one with 'rope twist' scales, hump backed tang and barber's notch.  If you need parts or like projects, this group is for you.  $25 for the lot.  Pictures:          B        C              E        F              H   RESERVED

SR74    Williams 'Cushion back' hone in the original box.  Fine red (8000-9000 grit) hone backed with a leather strop cushioned by felt.  How can you get along without a good hone?   $30  Pictures:          B        C

SR75    EVE RAZOR, by "THE BEST I EVER SAW".    The scales are 5  3/8" long with EVE on the front scale with fine detail. The blade is 5/8" wide.  No damage to the edge, but the hollow ground part looks like someone got a Dremell Tool for Christmas that had a small wire brush.   There must have  been some light rust but you cannot see it now.  If it were not 'cleaned' I would ask $160 for it but as it is now:  I am asking $95 for a quick sale.   Pictures:    A        B        C        D        E               G

SR76    FOX, by Koell--- & Schmitz, 1/2" blade with surface rust on the back side.  Black scales with a little wear.  $30  Pictures:    A        B        C              E        F

SR77    Margreaves, Smith, & Com.  Imperial Razor, Sheffield.    Nice very early hump-backed razor with buffalo horn scales.  This maker is not on any of my  lists and doesn't show up in any search engine.  Double pinned with grommets, cracks on the narrow end of the scales but it doesn't go into the scales beyond the pins.  Bright clean blade, 7/8" wide.  A real prize for the collector or user.  $75   Pictures:    A        B        C        D        E        F        G        H        I

SR78     MADE EXPRESSLY FOR  W.  A.  SCROGGS, etched into the blade.   By Wilbert (in a diamond).  Great special order blade with all the extras:  Barber's notch, double sided face, long hair, and belly of a woman.  The yellow scales are double pinned with one missing but replaced by a piece of thin wire.  Very heavy humped back blade.   Again, you have the pleasure of removing the soap in the grooves on the scales.  VERY nice display piece in spite of the wire add-on.  $150   Pictures:          B        C        D        E        F
