IG12 Order of the Black Eagle, The star with the black eagle in the center on a ring of white enamel with the words Suum Cuique (To each his own) was an elite group that is traced back to the 1700's. Usually this is the insignia of Police organizations: Feldjager: field hunter, field Ranger, Field Rifleman, was closely tied to the Gendarmerie. The symbol is still used.
